If  you haven’t been able to get out and enjoy the season, you still have time. The season is all around us! Depending on your area and your adventures, you can catch lights at Ashland’s Central Park, Hurricane’s Valley Park (wave pool), Point Pleasant’s Krodel Park or cross the bridge to see the lights at Gallipolis Park. The weather has been perfect for enjoying a leisurely walk to see the illuminations (maybe not so much today, unless you’re my toddler).

There are several private homes that have really gotten the Griswold touch this year too. I’ve been to one in Ironton behind the high school on the 1600 block of 6th st. One can be seen near the Chesapeake, Ohio bypass (straight off the 6th st bridge). I’ve heard there’s a house in the Enslow area of Huntington too, but can’t seem to find it. Let me know if you find it!

There’s many events this weekend too. You can hop aboard the Huntington Christmas Express in your pajamas and drink hot cocoa, catch a performance of Frosty the Snowman at The Paramount, see a viewing of Minions at the Cabell Library, or have a visit with the big man and see his sleigh and magestic white horses.

There’s only one more week until Christmas Eve! It doesn’t seem possible. I’ll be spending the next week listening to Christmas music non-stop (just ask my husband), watching every possible Christmas movie, including Santa Paws (more times than I’d like), drinking hot cocoa, eating wayyyyyy too much, and enjoying every moment with my family and friends. Whatever your plans include, I hope they’re magical. Happy Christmas Adventures!
